A Trip Around Thailand’s Most Beautiful Islands

We booked our trip through TripAdvisor and couldn't be happier with our experience. Everything ran smoothly, and the islands were absolutely stunning. Ready to embark on your own adventure?

Monkey Beach & Hippes Bar

We started the day with a thunderstorm warning and gloomy clouds, but Mother Nature decided to surprise us with sunshine!

Our adventure began with some snorkeling and a drive-by of Monkey Beach. Watch out—those monkeys can get pretty handsy if they think you’ve got snacks!

The snorkeling was a blast, with plenty of fish and coral to admire. Our guides, ever the pranksters, threw food at us in the water to attract the fish, so we were occasionally swarmed. Those fish have no manners and might even give you a playful nip 😂

Next, we toddled across the bay to Hippie’s Bar, where a delicious buffet lunch was waiting for us right on the beach.

Pi Leh Lagoon

I’m not kidding when I say there might be more boats than people in this lagoon! 😂 We leapt off the bow of our boat and swam around, soaking up the stunning scenery and crystal-clear water.

Maya Bay

Maya Bay is arguably the most “Instagrammable” beach in Thailand—and I totally see why! The sand is like powdered sugar, and the water is an impossible shade of blue.

Unfortunately, to protect the coral, swimming is off-limits in the crystal-clear water. With the winds whipping through Maya Bay, we took a stroll along the beach and ended up getting an impromptu sand exfoliation.

We were all thoroughly schnitzel-ed—Bec and I even ended up with a schnitzel thong line 😂 Despite the sandy assault, it’s a stunning spot among all the islands. Definitely need a swim to recover!

Kahi Nai

Holy guacamole, the boat ride to Khai Nai was absolutely wild 😂 We were lucky to be in a decent-sized speedboat—can’t imagine how the folks in those tiny wooden boats managed in these conditions!

The swell was choppy and getting pretty hefty, second only to the waves we braved in the Faroes! Our driver took us up one side of the wave and slammed the bow down on the other.

By the time we reached our destination, there were definitely a few green faces onboard!

We spent the afternoon lounging on the beach, while everyone else zoomed around on jet skis battling the chop.
